CRA compares pricing of products by cost per ml rather than cost per gram. This allows for a better comparison since different materials are dispensed in differnt weights but similar volumes.
Cost per ml is calculated by multiplying the manufacture's refill price per gram of a syringe by the material's density. CRA determines material densities in-house. If the manufacturer reports their price per ml then the conversion is not nessessary.
The following tables shows company's suggested retail list price per refill, grams per refill, densities (determined by CRA), and cost per ml for both cements and try-in pastes for 13 veneering cements.
