FiberFlo (Part number M-I-200-A) Not available at this time. A cartridge-type filter that is inserted into the water line before it is diverted into the handpiece, air/water, etc., lines. The filter and dental unit waterlines are disinfected by injection with an acidic solution, Actril, which remains in contact with the filter and dental unit waterlines overnight. In the morning, the Actril is flushed from the filter and water lines. Filter comes with Actril detection strips.
Scitech One-Day Filter (Formerly named Clearline Adapter) $2.10/filter $3.00 with Bacstop Anti-retration Valve An iodine cartridge that is inserted into the water line before it is diverted into the handpiece, air/water, etc., lines. The water is passed through the iodine cartridge, and the iodine is carried through the lines to disinfect the water it contacts.

Air Purge Unit $125/unit Unit blows air through the dental unit waterlines, forcing the water out so that the dental unit waterlines are dry overnight.
Porta-Purge with Bio2000 $329/unit $0.2/ml Bio2000 Small, portable unit that can be moved from operatory to operatory rather than being permanently installed. Female adapters are installed onto the water and air lines. The portable unit is connected to the female adapters by male adapters, then a switch diverts the system from city water to the portable unit. Air is blown through the dental unit waterlines to purge the system of water, then Bio2000 (see Disinfectant portion of chart) is injected into the dental unit waterlines. Bio2000 is allowed to remain overnight, then is flushed out in the morning. Intended for daily use.

AquaSept (Formerly named SBP Dental Unit and InterSept) $817/system A fully sterilizable set of water bottles and water lines for both handpieces and air/water syringes. The units are detachable, and the entire unit may be autoclaved. The lines attach to the unit and by-pass the already existing lines.
Odyssey I w/ Silver Catalyst $1,295/unit $150/ozonator Distilled water is added to the reservoir clear plastic reservoir. Water is treated with ozone and silver, then is sent through the dental unit waterlines.
Pure Fluid Delivery System $595/system Small, two bottle system which replaces existing water delivery system. Allows for use of sterile water and disinfectants.  
Self-Contained Water System $185/unit Plastic bottle reservoir with screw cap attachment. Dilute bleach is used to disinfect the reservoir and dental unit waterlines.

In-Line Water Systems   Product Description Product Appearance
Clean Source I $1,495/unit City water is diverted into the disinfection unit and passed under a UV lamp before being sent through the dental unit waterlines. At the end of the day, the handpieces and air/waterlines are attached to a manifold. The unit goes through an air purge, disinfection, and rinse cycle. The lines are removed from the manifold in the morning.
GermFree Water System $850/system Unit is installed before the dental unit junction box. Water is pushed through the unit, exposed to the ultraviolet, and then delivered to the dental unit.
IGN 500/IGN MAG IGN Mag: $2,000/unit City water is diverted into the disinfection unit. Calbenium disinfectant is added to the water and sent through the dental unit waterlines.
PureMax Water Unit (Formerly named Parrot) Premarket A small unit that is installed before it enters the junction box. The unit exposes the water to electricity and then delivers the water to the dental unit.
Sal-20 (Large Recirculating unit) $8,000/unit A large unit that is installed before the junction box. The unit filters the water before it is delivered to the handpieces, air/water sryinge, etc.
